Cell service disappears the second you get anywhere worth going, and that's exactly when this earns its spot in the door pocket. The spiral binding lays flat and holds up to constant flipping, and having rest stops and park info marked is genuinely handy on a long haul.
It's bigger than you'd expect, so it's a little unwieldy to wrangle in the passenger seat, and the individual park maps are smaller than I'd like. Still, when the phone's a brick, paper wins every time.
