Living full-time in an RV means space is at a premium, but I still like to have a dual-monitor setup for working on the road. This little hub lets me connect two independent displays to my Windows laptop from a single Mini DisplayPort, which is super handy when desk space is limited.
It runs both 4K at 30Hz or 1080p at 60Hz without needing any drivers, and I appreciate that it's powered right from the USB bus. However, if you don't have a GPU that supports DP 1.2/MST, you'll be stuck with mirrored displays, and there can be occasional flickering or blackouts on one screen.
It pulls its weight when these requirements are met, but it's not a one-size-fits-all solution.
