When I'm heading out for a day hike, it's great to have a pack that I can stash in my main bag and pull out when needed. This one is so lightweight that I hardly notice it's there until I need it.
I appreciate the multiple pockets for keeping my gear organized. The water-resistant material has held up well in light rain, and it's a good value for what you get.
Just keep in mind it's best for shorter trips, but it's been perfect for my casual adventures.
